You do not need an account. We use no advertising or analytics cookies and load no content from third parties: maps, fonts and images come from our own server.

Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by Clever Cloud SAS, France, in data centres in the EU, under a data processing agreement. For every request the server processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, the address requested, the referring page and the browser identification. This is needed to deliver the pages and to protect against abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are deleted after 7 days.

Protection against attacks (Cloudflare)

To protect against attacks and overload, this website runs through Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical details of your request (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The transfer to the USA is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Cookies

We only use cookies that are strictly necessary for the feature in question (section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR):

• csrftoken protects forms, such as voting on the community impression, against abuse. Valid for one year.
• gg_stimme is only set when you vote on the community impression. It holds a random identifier so that each vote counts once and you can change it. Valid for one year. We only store an encrypted checksum of this identifier, no name and no IP address.
• sessionid exists only for logged-in editors in the admin area.

Maps, fonts, calendar

Our maps are based on OpenStreetMap data but are served from our own server; viewing a map sends no data to third parties. The same applies to fonts and images. Adding an event to your calendar downloads a file; we learn nothing about it beyond the request itself.

Links to other services

If you follow a link, for example to a venue's website or to a route planner, the privacy policy of that provider applies.

Contact by email

If you write to us, we use your details only to handle your message and delete them once they are no longer needed and no retention obligation applies.

Data in our listings

Listings of venues, organisations and events sometimes include contact details of contact persons. They come from our own research, from the operators themselves or from partner sources. We publish them to inform about queer life in Vienna (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). To check and translate listings we use services such as Google Places and DeepL; only listing details are transmitted, never data about visitors. If you would like details about you corrected or removed, please write to us.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Please write to office@ggg.at. You can also lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority: Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at.
