“A different place for different people”: Marea Alta is probably the queerest pub in Vienna. Even though lesbian and bisexual women make up a slight majority of the visitors, everyone who feels comfortable in the alternative atmosphere is welcome.
While the ground floor is rather cosy, some nights are turned into day on the dance floor in the basement. Vernissages, photo exhibitions, karaoke and performances round off the colourful programme.
